Darlene & Tonia at Harry's BBQ - Willow City Loop!
Darlene & Tonia, Where? Luckenbach Texas of course!!
Well it's Springtime In Texas! Time to get out and RIDE! We'll outline a couple of great rides through the Texas Hill Country, mostly through the Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Austin areas. Get out of North Texas 35 south to Waco. Exit west on 84 to begin getting into a bit of prettier scenery. After Gatesville, head south on 116, then west on 580 to Lampasas. South on 281 on to Burnet. Here you'll go west on 29 to Llano. Be sure and stop at the Dam Bar, then walk out on to the Lake Buchanon Dam, it's quite a sight! Take 16 south to Fredericksburg with a detour around the Willow City Loop. This is 12 miles of countryside so beautiful, you'll think it's Colorado! Be sure and stop at Harry's for some great BBQ, and a great Biker Hangout. Then on to Fredericksburg where you get great German food, Beer, and shopping. It's easy to rent a house instead of a hotel room. Check the CofC
Kevin & Tonia downtown Austin, Republic of Texas Biker Rally. Look at all those Bikes!!
Tonia cheers on Randall as he battles Sean on Biceps!! Typical Austin Rally time!
Try this one! Leave Fredericksburg south on 16 to Kerrville. The short way to Bandera is 16, a beautiful ride that takes you by the Kerrvile Folk Festival grounds. The longer way is 39 (one of Texas most scenic rides) west to 83, south to Leaky, 337 (scenic) east to Medina, and 16 south to Bandera. This is much longer but very beautiful! Bandera's a neat town, have a beer at the underground Silver Dollar Bar! Back up 173 and 16 to Fredericksburg, but you have to go east on 290 south on 1376 to Luckenbach. Later take 290 east to Austin. Be sure to check out the Republic of Texas Biker Rally in June, Ride to Lake Travis, The Oasis and Carlos & Charlies! Gotta go out of room! Check back for changes, updates.
